About Me

Personal Passions

I believe that education is an integral part of being a human being. Whether it be practical skills you build throughout your lifetime, or intricate scientific theories that require years of study to comprehend, learning is the foundation of how we as people operate. From the moment we are born to the day we die, we are always taking in new information which we later use to understand and interact with society.

Personally, learning has always been something I enjoy. Sometimes it's math equations and other times it is internet rabbit holes I burrow myself into at an egregiously late hour of the night. I am lucky to consider myself someone who learning comes easily too, and I am well aware that this is not the case for everyone. However, I do believe that under the right circumstances and with the right subject, anyone can accomplish mastering whatever subject they put their mind to.

My Personal Narrative

A challenge that I have faced in life surrounds my mental health and the social anxiety I developed my first few years in school. I grew up with a small, tight knit community from childhood to adolescence. From one to eleven years old I spent my time in the same school, with the same group of friends, and the same peers I had grown to know deeply. Upon entering middle school, I realized that I had taken this for granted. Now, in a new and much larger school, I was faced with a problem I had never needed to consider before. Being alone.

Luckily, my family has always been supportive of me and my every endeavor. They made sure I had confidence in myself, but was still aware of the more unsavory outcomes. After opening up about the growing panic of being surrounded constantly with people I didn't know or even recognize, my parents offered to do whatever I needed to ease my anxieties. Much later after much thought and discussion, they helped me learn some skills to cope with my anxiety, and got me diagnosed by a medical professional.
